Easter at the Museum
Complete your look at Saffron Walden Museum this Easter, with fashion-filled craft activities for all the family!
During the Easter holidays, the museum will be running activities inspired by their current exhibition, Completing the Look: 300 Years of Fashion Accessories.
On Wednesday 5 April, you can take part in Mad Hatters and make your own historic hat to take home with you. Take inspiration from one of the 40 hats on display in the museum or let your imagination run wild! There will also be lots of hats for you to try on and you can follow the Historic Hats trails around the museum.
On Wednesday 12 April, you can make brilliant badges and brooches. Act like a royal for the day by making a commemorative portrait badge with your own face, or get creative with your own designs. Try to spot the badges and brooches on display in the museum in our special trail.
Both family activities are drop-in sessions, so there's no need to book - just come along between 11am-1pm or 2-4pm. Usual admission fees to the museum apply but the activities are free (donations are always welcome). Children MUST bring an adult with them.
As well as all of that, there will be cuddly ducks hidden in the museum's displays throughout the Easter holidays (from 4 to 17 April). Find all of the ducks and you can win an Easter prize.
