Is the site of the original Rose garden that had fallen into total ruination. The statue in the centre is off an archer and probably dates from the late 18th century. The pedestal on which it stands is festooned with garlands of flowers. The species of roses chosen were varieties that would all have been available when the garden was laid out in 1840.

The colour scheme consists of red and pinks in the centre beds with white ramblers and climbers providing contrast on the restored wrought iron arches. The fragrance of this area really does have to be appreciated and probably the best time to visit is in June and July.
