Great Hallingbury Village Hall has a wood-panelled main area with stage; a smaller room suitable for both committee meetings and for the serving of food and drinks; a small, but well equipped, kitchen and good toilet facilities (including one for the disabled). There is a hard surfaced car park for 20 to 30 cars with a large playing field area adjacent, which can be hired separately.
There is no drinks licence but the hall is licensed for music and dancing with a limit of 156 people, although the hall becomes uncomfortably crowded with more than 120. It is, however, possible to seat up to about 80 people. There are sixty 6-piece place settings plus cutlery available for a small extra charge.
Like most village halls there is a management committee which is responsible for the maintenance and finances. The main source of income is from hiring fees but various fund raising events such as car boot sales, quiz nights and plant sales are organised by the committee.
The hall is available for hire by both residents and non-residents of the village for regular bookings and one-off occasions. Click here for Village Hall Hiring Rates and Village Hall Booking Form.
