Displays and Collections
From local archaeology to cultures of distant lands, from fossils to today's wildlife, from a Tudor bed to fine ceramics to Ancient Egypt, Saffron Walden Museum owes the scope and depth of its collections to its long history and many generous benefactors.
The Museum has over 175,000 objects and specimens, only a small proportion of which can be displayed at any one time. Some collections are mainly for research or reference.
From the buttons below you can view a brief guide to the displays by gallery, with links to more information on all the collections.
