Enertrag Lodges Linton Wind Farm Appeal

Enertrag UK Ltd submitted planning applications to Uttlesford District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council for a proposed eight-turbine wind farm in Linton. This proposed the erection of seven turbines in South Cambridgeshire and one turbine in Uttlesford. On June 23, 2009, the Development Control Committee resolved to refuse the application for the turbine in Uttlesford.

Enertrag UK Ltd has lodged an appeal in relation to the proposal. The appeal relates to the refusal of the application by Uttlesford District Council and the non-determination of the application by South Cambridgeshire District Council.

Representations may be made to the Planning Inspectorate about the proposals. These can be made online, quoting reference APP/W0530/A/09/2108277.

Alternatively comments can be sent to the Planning Inspectorate to Room 4/04 Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN. Four copies of representations are required to be sent and any comments must be made by October 7, 2009. If you would like to receive a copy of the appeal decision you should inform the Planning Inspectorate in writing.

The appeal documents may be viewed at the Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 4ER. Should you wish to have further advice about the appeal procedure the Planning Inspectorate have produced a booklet entitled “Guide to taking part in planning appeals”. This is available free of charge from the Council Offices or online through the ‘publications’ section at www.planning-inspectorate.gov.uk.

The Inquiry is scheduled to commence on February 2, 2010. The below documents provide more information:
