Applications can be made on line via the planning portal or the forms below can be downloaded and completed and sent to us. Please select the appropriate form for the development or work that you are applying for and submit with the correct fee, plans and required supporting documents.

From 6th April 2008 the only way of submitting applications to Local authorities will be by using the new national planning application forms known as 1app.
To accompany the introduction of the new forms, the Government is also introducing new validation requirements. Before making a planning application, by whatever means, you will need to check your submission includes all the information necessary for the application to be validated.
In line with Government advice, the Council has produced application validation checklists for each type of application and guidance on the validation of planning applications which should be studied before the submission of an application. The checklists include mandatory national requirements and additional local authority requirements. The objectives of these checklists are to ensure that the correct information is received when an application is submitted therefore reducing the delays caused to applications when further documentation is required and that the Local Authority has all the information needed to be able to determine the application in a timely manner. Following consultation these check lists were approved at the Development Control Meeting held on 19th March 2008.

Applications cannot not be started until all the correct information and documentation is received including the form(s) correctly completed, the correct fee, where due, and the appropriate supporting plans and documents. Failure to supply sufficient information could also result in an application being refused.
