Viewing Planning Applications
There are various means of searching for and viewing planning application information and details. Details include the status of an application, the milestone dates which include when a decision was due or has been made, conditions relating to approved applications and reasons for refusal on refused applications for applications from 2005 this will also link through to documents including the plans, decision notice and Officers report
If you wish to view a particular application and know the application reference number select the application search from the left hand side menu and follow the instructions. The application reference number is unique so there is no need to enter any further information other that that number e.g. UTT/2300/07.
If you wish to view an application and do not know the number or you are interested the applications within a certain parish use the application search and select the parish where the property is or that you are interested in – this will give a list of all the applications in that parish with the latest applications on the top of the list. You can also use the Planning Information map section on the interactive maps section to identify the applications relating to a property of area of interest.
The Planning Applications List and Planning Decisions List show all applications made between or decided between dates specified by the enquirer. From these lists you can link through to further information and documents relating to applications of interest.

Local Polices and Plans
Use the Local Plan and Local Development Framework to access the following information:
Council’s current adopted local plan containing the Council’s planning policies relating to both the whole district and to specific area.
The Local Development Framework – information on and new system for developing Local Plans and strategies and the council’s current position in this process.
Supplementary Planning Documents – Documents adopted by the Council which are used to provide further detail to policies and proposals contained in the local Plan Document and are an important factor is deciding planning applications.
