Saffron Walden Museum is open every day of the year except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

- Mondays to Saturdays - 10am to 5pm
- Sundays and Bank holidays - 2 to 5pm
November to February
- Mondays to Saturdays - 10am to 4.30pm
- Sundays and Bank holidays - 2 to 4.30pm

Annual season tickets allowing unlimited entry for one year cost £3 (full price) or £1.50 (discounts).
Access
Almost all exhibition areas are accessible to wheelchair users. Visitor facilities include dedicated parking, ramps, a lift, stairlifts, sound loops at the entrance desk and in the lecture and teaching spaces. There is a unisex adapted WC, which also has baby-changing facilities.
The Museum has received several awards for it provision for disabled visitors.
