A complete guide service

We offer guided walking and coach tours.  Tours on foot include Dunmow, Saffron Walden and Thaxted.  Churches, historic buildings and gardens (including the popular 19th century gardens at Bridge End) are all visited with our tours.  Special tours are also available e.g. The Quakers in Saffron Walden and Mediaeval Saffron Walden.

We guide coaches on tours of historic villages; a gentle meander through undulating countryside.  Summer evening tours, morning, afternoon and all day tours are available.  The routes show the variety of country-side and convey a sense of the historic and visual riches of the area.

We guide a full or half-day village tours.  These give visitors time to see the countryside from a coach and allow time for stopping, and walking in some fo the villages, accompanied by a guide.  In this way it is possible to explore site that are only glimpsed from the road to gain access to churches normally found locked.

The tours cover a range of landscapes and many different interests, they reflect the wide wide knowledge of the area our guides have acquired over many years.

Charges

For regular or half day walking tours we have a basic charge of £2.50 per person with a minimum charge of £25.00. 

Accompanied coach tours are charges per guide at £50 for half a day and £100 for a full day.
