Council Tax & BenefitsSingle Person Discount ReviewCompleted20 December 2016All households within Uttlesford claiming a single person's discount of 25% on their Council Tax bill are being checked for their authenticity using sophisticated data matching technology. This is part of an ongoing review to validate legitimate Single Person Discount Claims and identify and remove those being claimed in error or fraudulently.

Uttlesford Local Plan - Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment

Completed1 September 2015The Council will be producing a new sustainability appraisal to guide the development of its new Local Plan.  The first stage in preparing a Sustainability Appraisal is to produce a Scoping Report. Call for Sites 2015Completed - but sites can still be nominated1 June 2015The 'Call for Sites' is an early opportunity for developers, landowners, individuals and other interested parties to suggest sites within Uttlesford District for development. The suggested sites will be used to inform the preparation of the site allocations within the Local Plan. Housing Allocations Policy Review Survey 2014

Completed14 September 2014The council's housing allocations policy has been in place since January 2013.It sets out the rules for how applications for social housing in Uttlesford are prioritised. Social housing is a scarce resource, so with nearly 1700 applications on the Uttlesford HomeOption Register and only 300 vacancies a year, many of these applicants will never be offered accommodation by the council.

Therefore Uttlesford consulted on how the reduced funding would impact on Council Taxpayers and Uttlesford residents aged 16 and over. Parish Boundary ReviewCompleted1 February 2011

Parish Boundary Review affecting the parishes of Birchanger and Stansted Mountfitchet. The new boundary (effective from 1 April 2012) will be aligned along the majority of the length of Forest Hall road thus transferring to Birchanger parish land (but no residential properties) south of Forest Hall Road and lying immediately to the west of Parsonage Lane.
