Free domestic abuse training

Domestic abuse awareness training sessions will be delivered in Uttlesford by the independent charity Safer Places

The aim of the training is to:

  • Raise awareness of the different forms of domestic abuse and how it affects victims and their families
     
  • Enable staff to understand their safeguarding role and responsibility in relation to domestic abuse
     
  • Provide participants with the information they need to be able to signpost victims to the support services
     
  • Create links to the J9 network and ongoing information and support
     

This training is open to everyone but is particularly aimed at those who have contact with clients or members of the public.

The same course will be run four times, on:

  • Monday 27 November, Session 1 9.30am - 12.30pm
     
  • Monday 27 November, Session 2 1.30 - 4.30pm
     
  • Wednesday 29 November, Session 1 9.30am - 12.30pm
     
  • Wednesday 29 November, Session 2 1.30 - 4.30pm
     

The sessions take place in the Council Chamber at Uttlesford District Council, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ER.
