September 2018

Planning Committee date for Stansted Airport application moved to 17 October

A special Planning Committee meeting to consider a planning application from London Stansted Airport will take place on Wednesday 17 October 2018, starting at 10am.

A date of 12 October had previously been announced; however, following discussion with the Planning Committee Chairman, it is felt that committee members could benefit from having more time to digest the information from the additional public speaking sessions.
 

Planning Committee date set for Stansted Airport application

A special Planning Committee meeting will be held on Friday 12 October to consider a planning application from London Stansted Airport in which it seeks to raise its current cap on the number of passengers it is permitted to serve from 35 million passengers per annum (mppa) to 43mppa.

Uttlesford District Council has requested that additional information be supplied before a decision can be made on a planning application for development at Stansted Airport.

Public consultation period for Stansted Airport planning application is extended

Uttlesford District Council is currently consulting on a planning application to increase the maximum passenger throughput at Stansted Airport from 35 million passengers per annum to 43 million per annum.
