A man from Henham is over £8,000 out of pocket after being prosecuted by Uttlesford District Council in relation to an unauthorised airport parking operation.

Michael Maloney, of Hill Top Yard, Mill Lane, Henham, failed to comply with a Section 330 requisition form (he did not supply information to the council as requested), and he failed to comply with a stop notice in relation to the airport parking business being operated from the site.

Mr Maloney pleaded guilty to the two offences at Colchester Magistrates Court on 12 April.

He received a £450 fine for failing to respond to the S330 notice, and a £810 fine for failing to comply with the stop notice, and was also ordered to pay the council's costs in full which amounts to almost £7,000. He was given two months to pay the fines and costs.
