Thank you to everyone who has made a representation.

An estimated 1,500 individuals and organisations have submitted written comments on the various aspects and policies within the plan. The council's planning officers will collate and summarise these over the coming weeks, and draft responses to the issues raised.

Residents can read the full text of the plan - known as the 'Regulation 19 Pre-submission Local Plan' - on the online consultation portal at www.uttlesford.gov.uk/draftplan2018. The responses which were made via the consultation portal, email or post will be verified and entered into the system over the coming weeks.

This is the latest stage of the process towards adopting a new Local Plan that will guide where homes and employment sites go up to 2033, as well as the infrastructure such as schools and roads needed to support it.

The plan will be submitted, along with the representations received and the evidence base, to the Planning Inspectorate for independent examination. It is anticipated the hearing sessions for the public examination of the plan by a Planning Inspector will commence in early 2019.
