New, replacement and extra bins
Properties in Uttlesford with a suitable space are entitled to one each of the following:

We will no longer be able to deliver replacement or additional bins. We will still be delivering bins to new build properties.
- Black-lidded Waste Bin (180 litres)
- Green-lidded Recycling Bin (240 litres)
- Brown Food Waste Caddy (23 litres)

Residents may request additional green-lidded recycling bins and brown food waste caddies. Additional black-lidded waste bins may also be requested but the household must meet certain criteria. This is to ensure that we recycle as much of our waste as we possibly can and reduce the amount going to landfill.
Uttlesford District Council charges £75 for each new set of bins (1x black bin with green lid, 1x black bin and 1x kerbside caddy for food waste). The charge has been introduced to cover the administration, cost of the containers and delivery.
Payments for new bins can be made by contacting our Customer Services Centre on 01799 510510 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will endeavour to deliver your new bins within 10 working days of payment being received. Once you have ordered your bins you will be advised what to do with your waste in the interim.
