Bogus emergency response alarm scam

Residents are warned to be on their guard if they are contacted by someone offering to sell them a new emergency response alarm service.

We have had reports of elderly residents being contacted by individuals claiming to be offering a new emergency response alarm service.

Uttlesford District Council provides the Lifeline personal alarm service and will not contact anyone unless they have asked for more information first.

Lifeline is a personal alarm service available to older or more vulnerable people in the district who want to stay in their own homes.
