What happens next?
The next steps in our relocation plan.
We are currently working with external consultants on the design and build of the Little Canfield Business Park (LCBP) to ensure it works operationally for the Environmental Services Team. They will be designing the development to include a new four bay onsite workshop for vehicle maintenance, a commercial vehicle wash, welfare facilities, offices and sufficient parking for all staff. Management would like to encourage staff to have their input on how the site can be developed to make it work for the Environmental Services team. If you would like to have your thoughts or ideas heard please either approach your line manager, Danny Johnson, Ben Brown or UNISON and these will be considered and feedback will be given. A staff news letter will be circulated regularly to update staff on progression of the LCBP development.
An Operators licence application has been submitted and is under consideration with the Traffic Commissioner.
Fleet Route is a software package which works in conjunction with Bartec and has the functionality to model and design rounds. We would like all operational staff to be involved in creating the new rounds operating from LCBP as your expertise is essential to ensuring they are balanced and are achievable.
A staff voice group will be set up and we would like a representative from each operating area i.e. Waste & Recycling, Street Cleansing, Highway Rangers, Grounds Maintenance & Vehicle Maintenance. The purpose of the group will be to give staff the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with their representative who will regularly meet with management to discuss the proposals and feedback information to staff. If you are interested in becoming a representative please discuss this opportunity with your line manager, Danny Johnson or Ben Brown.
