New interactive job site launched for Uttlesford residents

The DevelopMe hub has been set up to support local residents who are looking for a new job, training opportunities or to develop their skills further.

The hub is personal to each user and packed with interactive tools and the latest job opportunities, all designed to help people navigate today's job market and grow in confidence.

By registering with DevelopMe, residents can get help with:

  • CV writing 
  • Career options
  • E-learning
  • Searching and applying for jobs
  • Interview skills
  • Looking after their wellbeing
  • Preparing for work

DevelopMe has been established by the West Essex Partnership, a collaboration between Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford district councils.

Cllr Neil Reeve, Uttlesford District Council's Portfolio Holder for the Economy, Investment and Corporate Strategy, said: "The new DevelopMe hub is a fantastic resource for residents across west Essex. The website has a wealth of interactive tools and assessments to help build a CV, practice interview techniques, gain new skills and search for work."

Cllr Chris Whitbread, Leader of Epping Forest District Council, said: "Epping Forest District Council is thrilled to be working with Harlow and Uttlesford councils on this new project. It continues to provide exciting opportunities for each organisation and our residents. DevelopMe is just one of many ways that we are supporting local people post pandemic to get back to work and promote local business. Together we will bounce back."

Cllr Tony Durcan, Portfolio Holder for Growth and Prosperity at Harlow Council, said: "The hub aims to support residents get back into work, particularly after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, help them into a new career path or develop further in their current job. The resources are designed to help users grow in confidence as they discover new possibilities."
