RideLondon Classique

The Ford RideLondon Classique will be visiting Essex on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May.

The Ford RideLondon Classique will take place on 3 unique courses across London and Essex from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 May.
 

The stages

The 3 day stage race between Friday 26 May and Sunday 28 May will have 2 stages in Essex before the final stage in central London.

All 3 stages will be broadcast by the BBC.

Stage One, Friday 26 May

Stage One (150km) on Friday 26 May will start in the medieval market town of Saffron Walden and finish on East Hill in Colchester.

Stage Two, Saturday 27 May

Maldon will host both the start and finish of Stage Two (140km) on Saturday 27 May, having successfully hosted the opening stage of last year's race.

Stage Three, Sunday 28 May

The final stage on Sunday 28 May will take place in the heart of London, with both the start and finish on The Mall. The stage will see riders race multiple laps of an exciting city centre circuit that will take them past some of London's most famous landmarks.
 

The route

On Friday 26 May the 2023 Ford RideLondon Classique route starts in Saffron Walden and continues on through Braintree to Colchester.

This means that the some roads in Saffron Walden will be closed for part of the day. On other parts of the route, rolling road closures will be in place - roads only being closed as the race passes through.
