What's happening

Changes to when we will be collecting your bins over the Christmas and New Year holiday.

23 to 28 December

⚠ We will be changing your bin collection day during Christmas week.

On Christmas week, Tuesday and Wednesday collections will be a day early and move to the Monday and Tuesday. Thursday and Friday collections will move one day later to the Friday and Saturday.

There will be no collections on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 December.

Which bins to put out

We will be collecting your food waste caddy and grey-lidded waste bin.

Your collections day by day

Normal collection day: Tuesday 24 December
Your collection will be on: Monday 23 December

Normal collection day: Wednesday 25 December
Your collection will be on: Tuesday 24 December

Normal collection day: Thursday 26 December
Your collection will be on: Friday 27 December

Normal collection day: Friday 27 December
Your collection will be on: Saturday 28 December

31 December to 4 January

⚠ We will be changing some bin collection days during New Year week.

On New Years week, the Tuesday collections will stay the same.

The Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collections will move one day later. There will be no collections on Wednesday 1 January.

Which bins to put out

We will be collecting your food waste caddy and green-lidded recycling bin.

If you have extra recycling you can always put it out at the side of your green-lidded bin for collection.

Please put items in white or clear bags or cardboard boxes.
⚠ We cannot take recyclable items in black sacks.

No change  - your collection will be on: Tuesday 31 December

Normal collection day: Wednesday 1 January
Your collection will be on: Thursday 2 January

Normal collection day: Thursday 2 January
Your collection will be on: Friday 3 January

7 to 10 January

⚠ We will be collecting your bins as normal starting on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

All collections will be on the usual day this week.

Which bins to put out

We will be collecting your food waste caddy and grey-lidded waste bin.

For this week only you can put out up to 4 extra black bags with your grey-lidded general waste bin.

Normal collection day: Wednesday 8 January
No change  - your collection will be on: Wednesday 8 January

Normal collection day: Thursday 9 January

No change  - your collection will be on: Friday 10 January

2025 Waste and recycling calendar

It's a new year so find out when your green-lidded and grey-lidded bins will be collected. Remember that brown food waste caddies are collected every week.

Garden waste

If you subscribe to our garden waste service your collection day may differ from your regular collection day so please check your letter for your collection day and week.

Sharps collections

If you ask us to collect your used sharps we will be making some changes to when we collect your bins over the Christmas and New Year holiday.

Christmas week - 23 to 27 December: We will not be collecting any sharps bins during Christmas week.

New Year week - 30 December to 3 January: We will collect your sharps bins a day early on Tuesday 31 December.

Your sharps collections will then return to the normal Wednesday collections in January 2025.
