How to apply for a a community support grant for activities to tackle rural isolation and loneliness.

Funding to support community and voluntary organisations to increase the participation of Uttlesford residents in providing services and activities, to help tackle the issues connected with rural isolation and enjoy the same quality of life as others living in urban areas.
 

Eligibility

To apply for funding you can be any of the following:

  • registered charity
  • community group
  • parish or town council

We are particularly keen to receive applications from:

  • voluntary and community organisations who are working together to deliver services
  • organisations providing services to the local community who fit into the relevant service specification
  • organisations carrying out work that fits into the council's corporate plan priorities

What you can apply for

We have £27,000 to fund activities to improve services for people living in rural settings to avoid social isolation in Uttlesford.

Before you start

We have put together some guidance on how to apply for a community grant.

You will also need to read the service specification for the community support grant for rural isolation and loneliness.

Documents to send with your application

You will need to provide some documents with your application:

  • constitution/terms or reference/operating document
  • health and safety policy
  • insurance certificate and schedule
  • safeguarding policy and evidence of training
  • DBS numbers for staff involved in providing the project
  • safeguarding risk assessment

Additional information

You will also need to send us:

  • a detailed business plan covering the period for which funding is requested

You can send these documents as part of your application.
 

After you have applied

We'll send you a confirmation email to say that we have received your application.

A panel will meet to review all applications for funding. We will notify you of our decision towards the end of January 2025.
