About Essex Energy Switch

Switching with Essex Energy Switch means you can benefit from the bargaining power of a large group.

Once you have registered, Essex Energy Switch hold an energy auction where suppliers compete for the opportunity to offer you the lowest energy tariff. There's no need to compare different tariffs as you'll receive a personal offer.

If you accept the offer, Essex Energy Switch will handle the switch over for you.

Before you start

You'll need to know:

  • details of your electricity or gar supplier
  • your current tariff plan
  • how much energy you use

You can register for free and there's no obligation to accept any offers if you don't want to.

Auction

Essex Energy Switch will hold an auction. During the auction, suppliers compete to provide the best deal. The supplier who offered the cheapest tariff will get to offer you a new contract.

Receive a personal offer

Once the auction has taken place you will receive your personal offer and you can see how much money you can save.

Decide if you want to accept the offer

You will have approximately 4 weeks to decide if you would like to switch. There's no obligation to accept the offer if you don't want to.

If you don't want to accept the offer you can wait for the next auction.
 

Accept an offer

If you accept an offer Essex Energy Switch will take care of the entire switching process for you.

Call 0800 048 8285 to register and receive correspondence by post. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm. You will need a recent energy bill to to sign up.
