Free trees for schools and communities

The UK needs millions more trees to reach its 2050 carbon net-zero target. Find out how your school or community group can get planting.

Cllr L Pepper
We want to make sure everybody in the UK has the chance to plant a tree.

So we're urging local people to take up the challenge from the Woodland Trust who are giving away hundreds of thousands of trees to schools and communities. Together, we'll get millions more trees in the ground.

Tree packs

The Woodland Trust also have free tree packs for schools and community groups, including town and parish councils, that want to show their support, planting celebratory native trees in suitable locations to benefit us and future generations for years to come.

They have two delivery periods per year, one in March and the other in November. They are currently taking applications for trees to be delivered in March 2022.

You can apply for a free tree pack on the Woodland Trust website
