Gambling Act Policy consultation 2018

We would like your feedback on the council's draft Gambling Policy.

The Gambling Commission is requiring us to review our Statement of Principles to come into force on 31 January 2019 irrespective of whether any amendments have been made since January 2016 and to consult on the draft policy before the revised policy is adopted.  The Licensing & Environmental Health Committee have approved a revised draft policy as a basis for guidance and we would now like to ask for your feedback on it. What happens next?

All representations will be considered by the Licensing & Environmental Health Committee at its meeting on 12 September 2018.  It will then recommend a draft policy (amended as the Committee see fit in the light of any representations received) to Council for adoption on 4 December 2018. It is anticipated that the Policy, if adopted, it will then come into effect on 31 January 2019.
