Economic Development Support Officer  - 1 year fixed term contract

Salary Grade 5 - starting salary £23,398

We are seeking a high calibre individual to help drive our local economic development ambitions. In particular:

1. Supporting the delivery of the effective operation of the Council's car parks

2. Collection and analysis of car parking, economic and other data

3. Provision of high quality relevant information to local businesses and the maintenance and growth of our business database

We require someone with a sound knowledge and relevant experience of data analysis, report writing and the issues and opportunities facing businesses. The post requires someone with good communication skills, including with the public and business owners/managers.

Welfare Liaison Officer - 30 hours a week, Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2018

Salary Grade 6 - starting salary £26,822 per annum (pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Welfare Liaison Officer to fill a new role based in the Benefits Department.

The post covers administration and customer facing duties and is currently based in the Council Offices in Saffron Walden. The post holder will be required to provide home visits to the most vulnerable residents of the district and represent the benefits service at surgeries and welfare events. Candidates should have a good standard of education, be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer liaison skills and have proven experience in a benefits and/or homelessness prevention environment.

Class 2 LGV Driver - three posts

Salary £20,661 - £22,658 per annum for a 37 hour week (plus 1 hour contractual overtime)

We are looking for three drivers who hold a valid UK licence with Category C vocational entitlement plus a valid Driver CPC Qualification Card to join our team. We have two depots, one in the North of the district at Shire Hill, Saffron Walden and one in the South of the district in Great Dunmow. This post could be based at either site.

Licensing Administration Assistant

Fixed Term Contract (24 July to 1 September 2017)

20 hours per week

Salary Grade 3 Starting Salary £18,070 per annum (pro- rata)

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to work in the Licensing Team at the Council Offices in Saffron Walden.

The postholder will be part of a small team providing administrative support associated with the processing of licensing applications for a 6 week period.

The office is highly reliant on information technology in its day-to-day work and as such the person appointed will have good computer/word processing skills. A good general standard of education, along with excellent communicative, administrative and organisational skills are also required. Training will be provided.

Casual Cleaner

Salary £10.50 per hour

The council is looking to employ a casual cleaner who can be used to cover sickness, holidays and other absences. You should hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Depending on the places needing cover the hours can range from one or two a week through to a couple of full days.
