The Ukrainian Refugees and Overseas Arrivals Fund provides grants of up to £70,000 to support the Ukrainian and overseas arrivals communities in the district.

We want to offer these new Uttlesford residents a warm welcome, help them adjust to life in a new country and integrate with existing communities.

Apply by Tuesday 6 August.
 

Before you start

You will need to provide the following documentation to evidence your eligibility:

  • constitution/terms or reference/operating document
  • business plan (if available)
  • most recent annual report
  • insurance
  • safeguarding policy and evidence of training
  • safeguarding risk assessment
  • DBS numbers for staff involved in delivering the project
  • Health and Safety policy

You'll also need to provide a:

  • detailed business plan covering period for which funding is requested
  • copy of your insurance certificate and schedule

Eligibility

The grants are open to properly constituted community, voluntary and charity organisations.

You must be an organisation that:

  • is non-profit making
  • is constituted
  • has the legal right to carry out the proposed project/activity
  • has a bank account with a minimum of 2 signatories

What you can apply for

We are making additional funds available to local community and voluntary groups that can develop projects to support the the Ukrainian and overseas arrivals communities in the district.

Grants are available to support:

  1. Emotional wellbeing and mental health: grants of up to £70,000 per annum
     
  2. Information, advice and guidance about a range of topics including access to housing, welfare benefits, employment, education and training with proactive in reach into communities and ongoing support: grants of up to £70,000 per annum
     
  3. Organised activities for children and young people and families (weekends, evenings and holiday periods): grants of up to £25,000 per annum

After you have applied

You'll get a confirmation email with a copy of your application form after you've applied.

We will review applications for grant funding and will notify you of our decision.
