How to report an emergency repair if you are a council tenant.
An emergency repair is any problem that could cause harm to you, someone else or to your property.
Make sure your repair is an emergency before requesting a call out. You may be charged for non-emergency out of hours calls and repairs that are not our responsibility.

Outside emergency repairs
We aim to come out to your property to assess an external emergency repair within 4 or 24 hours of it being reported to us. Our response time will depend upon the type of emergency.
In certain special circumstances or in extreme weather conditions it may not be possible for us to carry out emergency repairs within the normal time.
Inside emergency repairs
We aim to come out to your property to assess an internal emergency repair within 4 or 24 hours of it being reported to us. Our response time will depend upon the type of emergency.
Gas leaks
If you smell gas, telephone the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111999. They will isolate the meter and make things safe.
Electrical general power failure in your area
Do not contact the us. The National Grid website has information on how you can report a power cut online or by telephone.

If the emergency repair is our reasonability you must report it to us by telephone.

After you have reported the repair
If we decide your reported fault is an emergency repair, we will aim to have a contractor at your property usually within 4 to 24 hours depending upon the type of emergency.
You in turn must arrange access to your home when the repairs person arrives.
When we visit
Axis Europe is our repairs contractor. All Axis employees and contractors carry ID and will not mind if you ask to see it. If you are still suspicious call us on 01799 510510.
