Join a health walk near you for free, register on the day to become more active or volunteer as a health walk leader.
We support a number of free health walks, taking place all over the district throughout the week.
Trained leaders will be there to lead you on interesting walks through the local countryside or past places of interest. We have wide range of regular healthy walks arranged for the coming months, so why not get out in the fresh air and join us. Families are welcome but not all walks are suitable for dogs.
Join a walk
All you need to do is turn up ten minutes before the start. You will be required to fill in an Outdoor Health Questionnaire to initially register and to provide insurance cover.
Safety
Some routes may be grassy, muddy, slippery and uneven so please have appropriate footwear and clothing for all weather conditions. All walks now include information on how long you are likely to be walking, for example 60 minutes, rather than a specific distance.
