Apply for an interim authority notice or a provisional statement and tell us about a notification of interest.

 

Interim authority notice

If a premises licence holder dies, becomes insolvent or bankrupt the premises licence automatically becomes invalid unless it is transferred to someone else.

There is an option to apply for an interim authority which enables a liquidator to temporarily take control of the premises licence until the business is sold or otherwise disposed of.

How to apply

  1. Download and complete the Interim Authority Notice form
  2. Pay the license fee
  3. Send the completed forms and payment receipt to licensing@uttlesford.gov.uk.

Licence Fees

  • There is a £23.00 fee.
  • To pay please calling 01799 510510 and request a receipt to submit together with your Interim Authority Notice form.
     

Notification of interest

If you are a person or organisation that has a legal or financial interest in a property, you can notify us of this and we will keep you informed of any licensing applications which relate directly to that property.

How to apply

  1. Download and complete the Notification of Interest form
  2. Pay the license fee
  3. Send the completed forms and payment receipt to licensing@uttlesford.gov.uk.

Licence Fees

  • There is a £21.00 fee.
  • To pay please calling 01799 510510 and request a receipt to submit together with your Notification of Interest form.
     

Provisional statement

A provisional statement is an assurance that a premises licence will be issued once a premises has been constructed, altered or extended. A provisional statement does not have a limited duration.

You only need to apply for a provisional statement if you are unable to supply all the required information for a premises licence. This may be that  you don't yet know the name of designated premises supervisor or the times when licensable activities are to take place.

Applying for a provisional statement is the same process as applying for a new premises licence but uses a different application form.

How to apply

  1. Download and complete the Provisional Statement form
  2. Pay the license fee
  3. Send the completed forms and payment receipt to licensing@uttlesford.gov.uk.

Licence fees

You'll be charged a fee that's based on the rateable value of the property.

You can check the rateable value of the premises on GOV.UK.

If your premises doesn't have a rateable value it will fall into the lowest fee band.
