Business grants
Rural England Prosperity Fund
The Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) is an addendum to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and aims to support activities that specifically address the particular challenges rural areas face.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund
The current fund closed on 14 February 2023. Applications to submit projects for funding in years 2023-24 and 2024-25 will open in due course.
Community grants
Bike events in Saffron Walden
The Essex Community Initiatives Fund offering grants of up to £10k. Voluntary organisations, community groups and town and parish councils across Essex are being invited to bid for funding to help create resilient and vibrant communities, as part of our commitment to level up the county.
The current grant fund closed on 5 January 2023. We will have another round of funding to tackle the climate crisis available later in the year.
Housing grants
Community Housing Fund small grant
A small grants scheme to assist community groups who want to deliver affordable housing to meet identified need in their area.
Disabled facilities grants
Disabled facilities grants (DFG) are available to disabled persons who have been assessed as eligible by an Occupational Therapist.
Housing assistance grants
We have a number of grants, loans and practical assistance to help home owners in receipt of income-related benefits carry out essential repairs and improve energy efficiency.
Housing repairs assistance grant
A grant to help with repairs or extra insulation if you are in receipt of a means tested benefit.
