Volunteering in Uttlesford

There are numerous voluntary groups in the district supporting a wide range of organisations.

Uttlesford is a diverse community with a wide range of voluntary groups helping with anything from running day centres to looking after local churches. if you have time or skills that you think might be of benefit to the community why not put them to good use as a volunteer.

Volunteer Centre Uttlesford

The Volunteer Centre enables volunteers to work with organisations that need volunteers in order to operate effectively. If you're an organisation that's looking for volunteers then we'll help you to find the people that you need. If you're someone that's looking to give your time, we can help you find the perfect role.

CVS Uttlesford

The Council for Voluntary Service Uttlesford (CVS) supports and promotes volunteering across the Uttlesford District and works with individuals who wish to volunteer.
 

Citizens Advice

The Uttlesford Citizens Advice Bureau offers a free, impartial and independent service, with a wide range of support available from specialists. It also trains and supports volunteers.
 

Volunteering with local libraries

We're looking for volunteers to get involved in a variety of activities in Essex libraries. There's something for everyone, whatever your interests and the time you have available. By volunteering with us you can develop your skills, meet new people and contribute to your local community. In Uttlesford there are libraries in Great Dunmow, Saffron Walden, Stansted and Thaxted.
 

 Voluntary litter picking

If you, your town or parish council, school or local community group would like to organise and carry out a voluntary litter pick in the district, Uttlesford District Council can loan you all the equipment you will require.
