Uttlesford District Council tenants warned to take care if they receive a property repair call
Uttlesford District Council's housing tenants are being warned to be alert to scam calls about property repairs following a number of reported incidents.
The council has been made aware that some tenants have recently received phone calls from scammers claiming to be working on behalf of authority.
If you are cold called by phone and asked about council repairs, you should end the call as quickly as possible. Do not give out any personal information, particularly bank account or debit or credit card details.

Alternatively, the council's housing officers are on hand during office hours to speak to any tenants who have concerns.
