Uttlesford is a popular place to live, work and enjoy leisure time but unfortunately there are some differences in health outcomes between groups of people and communities.
The Uttlesford Health & Wellbeing Board has developed a draft five-year strategy to tackle these inequalities. The strategy proposes five health and wellbeing priorities:
1. Improve and support mental wellbeing
2. Enable people to live healthy, active lifestyles throughout their lives
3. Build healthy, resilient, active communities
4. Alleviate pressures associated with increased costs of living
5. Improve access to services and facilities
Each priority will have specific areas of focus and action plan, which will be determined by the Board and published at a later date.
Residents can read the draft strategy at www.uttlesford.gov.uk/draft-health-and-wellbeing-strategy-2023-2028 or request a paper copy by calling 01799 510510.
