Have your say on council's budget spending for 2023/24
Residents are invited to take part in a budget survey to help shape Uttlesford District Council's spending priorities for 2023/24.
Each year the council has to prepare a budget and decide how much should be allocated on the range of services it provides to the community, such as bin collections, housing, homelessness prevention, licensing, planning and administration of benefits, as well as how much support should be given to community groups, local businesses and other services across the district.
Preparing the budget takes many months and gathering views from residents on how and where the council's resources should be allocated is an important part of the process.
The easiest way to complete the survey is online, at: www.uttlesford.gov.uk/budget-consultation-2023-24. The website also includes more information about where the council gets its money and how that money is spent.
For residents who do not have access to the internet, paper copies of the questionnaire are available by calling 01799 510510.
The council will accept completed online and paper surveys up to and including Monday 31 October.
All of the views received will be considered as part of the final budget proposals for 2023/24. The proposals will be discussed by the Scrutiny Committee and Cabinet before being debated and voted on at the full Council meeting in February 2023.
