West Essex Inclusion Project

The West Essex Inclusion Project offers short breaks, sessions and activities to children up to 14 with a learning disability, autism and a physical or sensory impairment.

The project delivers activities across Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford. Children living in West Essex can attend all sessions if they are the correct age.

Activities take place all year round at several venues across West Essex, they include:

  • multi-sport sessions
  • toddler sessions
  • soft play
  • outdoor activity days
  • sensory activities and much more

Essex Short Breaks

Children attending activities must be registered with Essex Short breaks and have a unique Short breaks passport ID number. It is needed to book activities which must be booked in advance.

Register with Essex Short Breaks on essex.gov.uk

Booking an activity

All activities must be booked in advance. Epping Forest District Council manage the booking. You will need your Short Breaks passport ID number.

Go to Epping Forest's activities and events page and enter West Essex Inclusion Project in the search box.

When booking, it is important you give as much detail you can around your child and their needs to help us to make each session more enjoyable for all participants.

If your child requires any specialist healthcare support, you will need to email the Epping Disability Inclusion Officer on wfordham@eppingforestdc.gov.uk.

The Epping Disability Inclusion Officer will schedule a meeting with you to discuss your child's needs.
