Environmental Code of Development Practice

This code is intended to give guidance to contractors on the measures that we expect them to take to minimise the environmental impact of their work on the local community.

We require all contractors to apply 'best practicable means' (BPM) to their work programme and techniques, irrespective of the size of the demolition/construction work being undertaken.

This will help to minimise the environmental disturbance to local residents and reduce the need for us to take enforcement action.
