Sculpture workshop: Bronze and Bubbles

A unique chance to craft your own cast bronze sculpture, inspired and surrounded by the historic collections of Saffron Walden Museum.

Spend a bubbly brunch or exclusive evening with dedicated use of the museum building and get creative with the ancient art of bronze casting using the lost wax technique. This is the perfect creative treat for you or gift for the art lover in your life.

Each workshop lasts 2 hours 30 minutes and will be led by Charlotte Pratt, lecturer in fine art, and Learning & Outreach Officer at Saffron Walden Museum. Charlotte will explain the lost wax process and guide you to sculpt a wax model, which will be cast in bronze, by Walnut Works and Butley Mills foundry in Suffolk.

All guidance, equipment and materials are included in the ticket price, including the cost of casting in bronze, postage between the museum and foundry plus return delivery. The price also includes a glass of fizz and light refreshments.

Tickets are available from the Museum's Art Tickets website - - or the Museum shop, which is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm and Sunday 2pm to 4pm.

·       Friday 14 January, 6pm to 8.30pmor

·       Tuesday 25 January, 10am to 12.30pm

Each workshop is limited to eight spaces. Additional dates and times may be added if demand is high.

The ticket price is £69, and participants must be 18 or over.
