Get help and support from the Uttlesford Community Response Hub

The Uttlesford Community Response Hub was set up in March 2020 as a local response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is run as a partnership between Uttlesford District Council, Volunteer Uttlesford and the Council for Voluntary Service in Uttlesford.

Several organisations and hundreds of volunteers now support the Hub to ensure Uttlesford residents, particularly those who have no one else to call on, get the help, assistance and advice they need.

An incredible team of volunteers, voluntary groups, charities, statutory organisations and two new Community Responders are on hand to offer direct support whenever required for people who:

·       are self-isolating and need help with shopping or prescriptions

·       are in immediate financial difficultly

·       are feeling lonely and isolated

·       need support with staying independent at home

·       would you like advice on how to stay active

·       need support if their mental health has been affected by Covid-19

In addition, the Hub is also able to support families with children and individuals impacted by Covid-19 with immediate assistance for gas and electricity costs, heating oil deliveries, food vouchers and essential living costs such as a cooker or fridge.

If you need any support or advice, please call 03333 408218 (9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday) or by emailing communityresponse@uttlesford.gov.uk.

Please note that the Uttlesford Community Response Hub is closed from 24 to 28 December and from 1 to 3 January.

Additional community support is also available through the Essex Wellbeing Service via www.essexwellbeingservice.co.uk or by calling 0300 303 9988.
