Advice and support to help manage the rising cost of living.

Work experience (work placements)

If you are looking to get some experience of working for a council and want to develop your skills, then you could think about a work placement with Uttlesford District Council.

On occasions we are able to offer work experience to students who are in Year 10.  The council offers a wide range of services to the residents of the district so we may have a variety different of placements.

Your placement will usually be for a two week period and during this time you will be able to what happens within the service area where you are working, get an insight into processes and procedures and gain valuable hands on experience.  Unfortunately, we cannot always offer placements as it will depend upon the time of year and what other work we have going on.

How to apply

If you would like an opportunity of a work placement, please contact HR Admin on giving the details of what area you would like to work in and the dates you will be available. We can then check whether we can offer you a place.
