Submit a First Homes scheme application
Developers and estate agents can submit applications for the First Homes scheme to us.
You can only submit a First Homes application to us if you are:
- a developer that is selling a First Homes scheme property to a first-time buyer
- an estate agent that is working with both a current First Homes property owner and a new first-time buyer
If you are a first-time buyer who wants to purchase a home you will need contact the developer (or estate agent if you're buying from a previous First Homes buyer) and tell them you want to buy a First Home. They will send your application onto us.
Before you start
You'll need to download and complete a copy of our First Homes application form (Word doc, 122 KB).
You'll be asked to attach a copy of this form to our online form.
You will also be asked for:
- the applicant's details
- the mortgage advisor's details
- the conveyancer's details
- your details
You can also provide (for each applicant):
- photographic ID
- proof of address
- last 3 month's payslips
- last 2 P60's (or signed off self-employed accounts)
- last 3 months bank statements
- a mortgage lender decision in principle (DiP)
If the application is missing any information, we may ask you to provide it.
⚠ Applications will not be assessed until all of the supporting evidence is provided. We cannot consider applications if the First Homes property has not been reserved, or if any required information is missing.

What happens next
We will check the application to make sure the applicant is eligible.
We'll contact you to tell you our decision. We will also contact the applicant and their mortgage advisor.
If the application was missing any information, we may ask you to provide it.
