Spending section 106 funds

How funds raised from s106 agreements are spent, how we monitor this spending and where you can keep updated with what types of infrastructure the funding relates to.

A s106 agreement contains the terms and conditions relating to the timing of provision of infrastructure and/or the payment of s106 contributions towards infrastructure including:

  • affordable housing
  • green space provision
  • providing educational facilities
  • traffic calming measures or road improvements
  • public transport contributions
  • NHS contributions
  • local employment initiatives
     

Monitoring

We monitor when triggers for payment and spend are likely to be met to make sure we receive and spend contributions in a timely manner.

You can use our planning obligations portal find to information about the amount of s106 funds we hold and what types of infrastructure the funding relates to. This includes details of projects where funds have been used to provide infrastructure across the districts.
