We have teamed up with Co-wheels Car Club to provide 2 electric cars within Saffron Walden town centre.

About the project
The Saffron Walden Car Club has been commissioned by us and is managed by Co Wheels.
It aims to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to car ownership and to help reduce congestion and emissions.
Initially, one MG4 SR electric vehicle will be provided in a designated bay at the Council Offices car park at London Road. A second car will be provided in the New Year.
The benefits
If you join you could save up to £1,000 a year on motoring costs.
Anyone can join up and book a car. You do not have to live in Saffron Walden.
There is no joining fee and when you sign up you'll get £25 free driving credit.

② Find a car near you
Check the location map or download our app to find the nearest car to where you live or work. The Saffron Walden car is based in the Council Offices car park at London Road.

③ Book your car
Book your car for the date and time you want it, you won't be charged until 2 hours before the booking starts.

④ Drive
Open the car with you member smart card and drive - simple!

⑤ Pay for time spent
When you return the car your account will be billed for any mileage used.
