Protect your tools against theft at free property marking event

Essex Police and Uttlesford Community Safety Partnership are inviting local people to help protect their equipment against theft at free tool marking events.

Essex Police will be giving advice and marking up any tools and equipment brought along at a series of events across the district.

There will be 4 tool marking events held at:

  • Bretts Farm, White Roding on Sunday 17 March from 10am to 1pm
  • Wendens Ambo Village Hall on Saturday 13 April from 10am to 1pm
  • Little Hallingbury Village Hall on Sunday 20 April from 10am to 1pm
  • Takeley Community Cafe on Saturday 18 May from 10am to 1pm

Having tools marked helps deter theft, makes it more difficult for stolen equipment to be sold on, and makes it easier to reunite tools with their owners.

Find more information on how to protect your property with security marking on the Essex Police website.
