Armed Forces Day 2024
Uttlesford District Council has shown its support for the British Armed Forces by raising a flag at its offices in Saffron Walden.
Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for the people of the UK to demonstrate their support for service men and women, past, present and future.
The flag was raised by the Chair of the Council, Cllr Martin Foley, at a small ceremony on Monday. The event was also attended by representatives from Carver Barracks and the Royal British Legion.
The flag will fly at the council offices until Armed Forces Day itself on Saturday 29 June.
