Make your own adventures this summer

Did you know that Saffron Walden has its own community e-cargo bike hire scheme and that you can use it for days out this summer?

Uttlesford District Council has teamed up with OurBike to provide the electric cargo bike, which is available to hire by the minute. The bike is hosted by Waffle and Coffee and is ideal for local businesses that want an easy and sustainable way to make deliveries to nearby customers.

It can also be used by residents and visitors to the town, for example to take shopping home from the market or for fun days out in and around the town.  

The Our Bike is located in Saffron Walden Market Place.

Tom, from Saffron Walden, has been enjoying the OurBike since it launched in April.

"We have wanted a cargo bike for many years but have never been able to afford one - once we became aware this scheme was available in town we were very keen to give it a try," says Tom.

"It has been brilliant to experience what it would be like to own a cargo bike at very little cost and the kids love it every time. We will definitely be using the service again and I hope that others make use of it too."
