Clinical Waste Collection Service Privacy Notice
This privacy notice is provided for clarification on what information the council needs in order to provide clinical waste collections from domestic properties when requested.
It is necessary for the council to gather, collect, store and process personal information relating to your application. The council puts measures in place to protect the privacy of individuals throughout this process.
As a public authority, we take your rights and freedoms seriously and will only release information when required under law or with your consent. Information we may collect
The personal data we collect from you includes:
- name
- address and postcode
- telephone number
- email address
- name of an alternative contact if required, for example, a carer
- telephone number of an alternative contact, if required
- whether a collection is required for sharps or materials contained in clinical waste sacks
Sharing your information
We may share this information with:
- our collection contractor (General Business Holdings) who collect and dispose of clinical waste on our behalf
Keeping your information
The council will only keep your information for as long as necessary. Full details of how long the council retains your information can be found in the council's document retention schedules for all services (PDF, 1 MB). After this time your information will be securely destroyed.
