Announcing the winners of Uttlesford Business Awards 2025
Uttlesford District Council is pleased to announce the winners of this year's Uttlesford Business Awards, in association with Manchester Airports Group.
Almost 180 nominations were received for 72 businesses across the 12 categories, and this was finely tuned to a shortlist of 39 outstanding businesses from a wide range of sectors.
The winners were announced at an awards ceremony and networking event held at Saffron Hall, on Thursday (27 February). They were:
- Best for Innovation - Saffron Screen
- Rising Star - Art Beats
- Young Entrepreneur - Lois Willimson, Si Belle Beauty
- Creative Champion - Effy the Artist
- Commitment to Community - Saffron Building Society
- Environmental Impact - Neon Leo
- Support Local - Hello Food Tours
- Food & Drink Producer - Meadow Oak Distillery
- Retailer of the Year - Vintage Style Living
- Health, Beauty and Wellbeing - Stronger Together Gym
- Leisure & Hospitality - Saffron Hall
- Dedication & Service - The Orchid Practice
- Uttlesford Business of the Year - Chater's
New to the format this year was a People's Choice award. The public was encouraged to vote for a nominated business they believe goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. An incredible 12,496 votes were cast, and Saffron Hall Trust came out on top with 6% of the votes.
Alongside their trophy, the winners were presented with a bottle of Saffron Grange sparkling wine and an invitation for a tour of Stansted airport.
Cllr Neil Hargreaves, Portfolio Holder for Finance and Local Economy, said: "These awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognise the innovation and excellence of local businesses and the value they bring to our communities. They go a long way to making our district such a great place to live, work and visit.
"Congratulations all our winners and the nominees. It was an inspirational evening and we are proud to celebrate their achievements - well done to everyone involved I would also like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors."
