End of life vehicles
We offer a free-of-charge service for the collection of vehicles that have reached the end of the road.
You can ask us to collect and dispose of your vehicle if it is no longer roadworthy.
Eligibility
You can ask us remove your vehicle.
We will not charge you for collecting it provided the vehicle:
- was used for domestic purposes
- is registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) to a resident of Uttlesford
If you are not eligible
If you eligible for a free collection, you can still ask us to remove your vehicle but we will have to make a charge.
How to apply
You will need to send us:
- the vehicle's log book
- details of where the vehicle is parked
- your contact details

After you apply
We'll make arrangements to remove and dispose of your vehicle.
We aim to do this within 14 working days.
The vehicle will need to be in a suitable location where a commercial lorry, with lifting equipment, can park so that it can lift the vehicle on board.
Once we have removed the vehicle we'll send the log book to the DVLA to show the vehicle has been scrapped.
