Apply for a council tax discount for a single adult occupant
A sole discount is available when there is only one person, over the age of 18 years old, living in the property.

Set up a Direct Debit, check your account, tell us about any changes and register for paperless billing using our Northgate Council Tax portal.
You do not need to register to use some of these services. However if you would like to view your Council Tax account details, you will need to create a login for the portal.

Single person discount - how to apply online
- Open our Northgate Council Tax portal.
- Scroll down to "Apply to reduce your Council Tax".
- Select "I want to apply for a single person discount".
