You may request additional green-lidded recycling bins and brown food waste caddies. You can also request additional black-lidded waste bins but your household must meet certain criteria. This is to help us to recycle as much of our waste as we possibly can and reduce the amount going to landfill.
 

Bins for new build properties

Uttlesford District Council charges £75 for each new set of bins (1x  black bin with green lid, 1x black bin and 1x kerbside caddy for food waste). The charge has been introduced to cover the administration, cost of the containers and delivery.

Payments for new bins can be made by contacting our Customer Services Centre on 01799 510510 or by emailing uconnect@uttlesford.gov.uk. We will endeavour to deliver your new bins within 10 working days of payment being received. Once you have ordered your bins you will be advised what to do with your waste in the interim.
